Until next year…

RED_2205

The 2011 Tucson Blue Ribbon event was Saturday, May 7th from 4-7pm at Thoroughbred Nissan and it was our most successful event yet! We had about 1,000 people in attendance enjoying the food, entertainment, face painting, balloon animals, jumping castles, cotton candy and popcorn, speaking event and special balloon release. We are currently sorting through pictures and compling stories from the event to share with you here, and on Facebook. A big thank you to everyone who attended – your support of the the foster care community speaks volumes to the children in foster care and the families, agencies and individuals who care for them. As always, Thoroughbred – your generosity is a blessing. To the FACT council and planning committee, thank you for the tireless planning that took place to put on the event. And to everyone who donated items for our raffle – THANK YOU!  This year, more than any other, we had a significant number of people inquiring about foster care and/or adoption – our tables upstairs were constantly busy, and the pictures and bios brought tears to many eyes. We want to make sure you have the resources you need if you still have questions about foster care, adoption, or a child from a photo. Please view the  foster care orientation schedule, contact an agency directly, call the 1-877-Kids-Need-U line or send us an email so we can get you to the right place.

If you can believe it, planning for the 2012 Tucson Blue Ribbon Event will begin this summer! And do we have plans for next year! Keep checking the website for memories from the 2011 event and updates and plans for the 2012 event.
